The COFI Food Ambassadors completed another year of summer meal program outreach in partnership with the Greater Chicago Food Depository and No Kid Hungry Campaign in three Illinois communities.

In East St. Louis, parents piloted the project in the first downstate community, and in Chicago, parents canvassed in Brighton Park on the southwest side and in West Town on the northwest side.

Thanks to their hard work, the ambassadors knocked on over 10,000 doors and identified over 3,000 families who planned to bring their children to the summer meal sites.

The parents were featured on CNN Jake Tapper highlighting this work.
