Through our intensive and systematic leadership development and organizing process, parents develop skills, confidence, and the organized power to win improvements in schools, communities, and public policies.

We have trained 3,000 low-income parents, most of them women of color.

These mothers and grandmothers are changing the way things get done, from public policy to program implementation. COFI leaders are making things better for children and families, winning on issues like restorative justice to keep kids in school, bringing back recess for all Chicago's children, and improving access to early learning and preschool.
