New sod was laid in front of the Cabrini Row House on October 4th thanks to the determination of a new group of COFI-trained parent leaders, the CABRINI MOTHERS IN POWER, and their allies at a local church, the Park Community Church. The mothers and grandmothers set the goal of beautifying the public housing community where they live. They convinced church leaders to donate the sod and persuaded the Chicago Housing Authority to approve the project. Read the story in the Sunday Chicago Tribune.
