In May, 2013, Felipa Mena was honored during the Chicago Foundation for Women Impact Awards. Felipa’s leadership role in her community and her dedication to restorative justice were celebrated as making significant changes in the lives of women and children who too often are disproportionately affected by violence and poverty.
